Letters to My Sister / Brother
Participants who aren't related at all become sisters and brothers through words. The group sits together, then splits into pairs for a guided conversation: what they're carrying, what they're proud of, what they dream about, what they need to hear. Then each person writes their partner a letter of encouragement full of what they saw and heard in them. Letters are sealed, exchanged, and kept.
Why it matters: Many people don't realize that words hold real feelings, values, and emotions, whether spoken or written. In this workshop, someone who was a stranger an hour earlier listens to you and puts in writing that you matter. That letter is something to hold onto and reread on hard days. A bond forms through words, and everyone is reminded that family isn't only blood. It's who shows up for you.
Includes stationery and envelopes, a pen to keep, conversation prompt cards, wax seals, stickers, ribbon, a keepsake sleeve for each letter, table covers, and cleanup.
